Cut Sequence Readiness Checklist
Before taking an optimized layout to the saw:
- Confirm the sheet dimensions and unit system.
- Verify blade kerf and edge-trim allowances.
- Lock grain-sensitive parts against rotation.
- Mark each part on the material before cutting.
- Plan how large pieces will be supported.
- Keep a printed or offline copy of the sequence.
- Stop and re-measure if the real stock differs from the plan.
You can prepare and compare layouts with CutListEngine.
The optimizer is a planning aid; the operator remains responsible for measurements, machine setup, and safe cutting practice.
